Virginia research trip leads to the discovery of two previously unknown Mills family members: Jacob Leap, Jr. (1787-1805) and Jacob Mills (1808-1822 c.)

Rosina and cousin, Peggy Brennan, identified these two young men who did not survive to adulthood during their April research trip to the Alexandria Library. Jacob Leap, Jr. was listed in old Alexandria, VA Court records dealing with apprenticeship agreements. Jacob Mills was found in a power of attorney document for the sale of property originally purchased by Jacob Leap, Sr. We are elated to add them to our already rich family tree.
