Will of William Warden

“Warder [sic], William, Charles Co. 8 June 1773
To wife Mary Warder [sic], extx., all of my estate during her lifetime.
To dau. Ann Warder [sic], bed, pewter, heifer and 7 shillings, 6 pence.
To son Phillip Warder [sic], heifer.
To Thomas Baker, 1 shilling.
To son William Warder [sic], 1 shilling.
To dau. Ann Milstead, 1 shilling.
To dau. Mary Ratliff, 1 shilling.
To grandson, James Warder [sic], 1 shilling.
To grandson Henry Warder [sic], 1 shilling.
To son Joseph Warder [sic], ex., tract, “ Lumber Street,” 100 acres and residue of estate after his mother’s death.

Wit: William Fairfax; Elizabeth Fairfax; George Dunnington.
The probate was taken in the presence of James Warder [sic], heir at law and he did not object.

In 1758, he gave a deposition stating his age was 44.

Will of Richard Warden:

“To sons Elijah and Asa and daus. Martha, Charity, Sarah, Mary and Anna, my three Negroes, Robert Samuel and David, after the decease of my wife, Agness.
To son Elijah Warden, 118 acres, being part of a tract “ Cole,” lying in Durham Parish; furniture, plates and saddle.
To son Asa Warden, 168 acres, being part of “Hosanton’s Manor” on Powells Creek in Prince william Co., Virginia; furniture and pewter plates.
To dau. Margaret Warden, furniture, plates and linen wheel.

To dau. Anna Warden, furniture, pewter plates, furniture.
To dau. Euthan Martin, 5 shillings.
To wife Agness Warden, use of all my estate during her lifetime and then divided among the above seven children, Elijah Warden, Asa Warden, Margaret Warden, Charity Mills, Sarah Warden, Mary Warden after the 5 shillings is paid to my dau. Euthan Margin.
